Privacy and Data Policy Statement
What information do we collect?
We collect personal contact information from you when you enrol as a South Woodford Spiritualist Church member, and/or register for the church’s healer services, and if you are a visiting medium or teacher. We rely on the member, healer service user, visiting medium or teacher to provide us with up to date contact details as and when needed.
You can visit our web site anonymously at any time.
What do we use your information for?
We use your information as a record of your Woodford Spiritualist Church annual membership and to record payment of your membership fee, and remind you when membership renewal is due. Members are provided with a membership card and number, and membership renewal is required each year.
When using the church healer services we use your healing information to keep a record of your healing progress and to be able to contact you to check all is well after a heling session.
We use visiting mediums and teachers information as a means of communicating with for booking you at services and events at the church and obtain details of the service you are to provide.
Contact details are never given out without the prior consent of the said contact.
As South Woodford Spiritualist Church is a member of the Spiritualist National Union (SNU) are a governing body we may pass on some information to them.

Currently the church does not promote events other than on the church website: http://woodfordchurch.com and on the Facebook page: Woodford Spiritualist Church Events.
What we do not use your information for.
We do not intend to share information with any third parties.
We never sell or share your personal information with other groups or companies.
Where do we store and how is your information held?
Physical and digital records are kept. Security of any digitally held information is maintained using recognised computer security programs. All physical personal information is stored and securely locked inside the church.
How long do we hold your data?
Personal information relating to church membership, healing and visiting teachers and mediums is anonymised after seven years and removed after six years of inactivity.
How do we protect and safeguard your personal information?
Access to your personal data is restricted at all times. Only our employees or trusted agents will be able to access your information. Their access and activities are restricted to the purposes outlined above. The church monitors own compliance with data protection policies and regularly reviews the effectiveness of data handling and security controls.
Your Consent.
By becoming a Woodford Spiritualist church member, using our church healers and attending our church services, workshops and events you consent to our Privacy and Data Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Withdrawing your consent
If you would like to withdraw your consent, please contact us directly via the church email or in writing to the Church Secretary.
Once you notify us of your request, we will respond to you as soon as possible.
Wherever possible, we will anonymise all records relating to you and to your account, including all transactions and communication.
Please note that should you withdraw your consent to our holding your personal information as a church member, then you will no longer be able to be a member of South Woodford Spiritualist Church.
